i remember the first time i changed the plugs on my festiva, it had probably about 210k KMs on it and i didn't think they were coming out, they were rusted pretty bad, the one, the head strip on it, so that made it a real PITA, but eventually i got them all out

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Don't overtighten. Just snug. To insert a plug I stick it into the spark plug socket and put a 3" extension on the other end. Both of them come in the el cheapo 3/8" socket set I use. It's a lot easier to handle that way. Insert gently. Turn backwards until it's seated, then forwards with a light touch until it's in fingertip tight. Then slip the rachet onto the extension and snug up.
