  • Torque Specs for a wheel bearing/half shaft?

    Hey guys,
I have a 1989 Ford Festiva LX with a 5 speed and I just replaced a wheel bearing after the last one exploded. Any idea what the torque should be? I don't want this one to pop anytime soon.

    Cheers,
    Nik

Opps! Sorry I forgot. Front wheel. I set it at 140 lb/ft. The wheel spins pretty freely (about three revs if I spin it by hand) so I think I'm good to go. Now I'm just stressing about the pesky shims. Is that the "washer" that came with the one shaft? The other didn't have one  Maybe it'll be OK. Thank you for the help guys.
