Could just be some stuff left over from when they ground it. Possibly they didnt clean it out good before they put it back on?

It's almost impossible to pull a head and not have oil and coolant mix. Your symptons are typical of a head job no matter how well it is done. The coolant should flushed out whenever a head is changed...just a good thing to do. If it hasn't been done yet....just do it.

If your worried about whether or not the heaad job was done properly....check for the following
            1) Change the oil and look for coolant in the oil
            2) Look for the engine burning coolant...thick white smoke at statrt up and continuous white smoke after warmed up.
            3) Burning oil, Blue-ish/purple-ish smoke at start up or after warmed up.
If non of these symptons show up...you're OK.
