  • rear wheel spindle nut

    what size are those spindle nuts? and is this something i can buy at a local parts store?

    I bought one for my mustang at the parts store. They had all different sizes. Do you have one to bring to them? They might be able to look it up at the store.

      Remember that one is LH thread and the other is RH thread. I forget which is which. The LH thread is probably on the passenger side of the car.

        thanks guys, i got them changed out this morning. did have to buy spindle nuts from autozone. thanks for the quick response.

          The Spindle nuts (on the rear) are 16mm X 1.5mm, LH and RH thread of course. I bought a RH die to recut the threads and it worked like a dream. Still looking for a LH die but luckily the thread on that side are OK. Mine is originally from Canada so I'm not sure of that will have an effect on the nut size.

            I found both left and right dies at amazon .com enter...die 16mm lh....in all products search box, thanks for the thread pitch
