  • Washer fluid pump

For my '93 Festiva will I need to remove the battery and tray to access the washer fluid pump for the windshield? Tried using it yesterday and it's not pumping anything, and yes I even fulled up the tank and then tried it again.

its accessed through the splash sheild above the drivers tire.

personally, when my pump quit working, i took it apart, got the pump to work, but it started to leak, and i realized, who needs this anyway? and yanked the whole system out.

Can't remember off the top of my head, but when mine quit working, it turned out to be that some dirt made itt in there, went through the hole line, then clogged the nozzle on the hood. Quick and easy check is just to raise the hood, pull the hose from the nozzle, and then try it!

        Thanks again for the info!

I used to think the same thing when it didn't work on my car...then I bought another one that it did work on...who would have thought being able to clean the window while driving would be such a great option...I also thought who needs a rear wiper...till I had one....man what another great option....lol
