  • Electrical Problems

My whipers and blower motor only work sometimes and they go out in pairs. I'm havin a problem finding what is wrong. I checked the grounds to see if they were loose or dirty and they were fine. I was trying to find the power ends, but I'm having trouble determining if its the swtiches or not. I'm open for any ideas or even ideas on how to hard wire the whipers and the blower motor to a seperate switch.

    electrical problems

If your wiper and blower motors work only at times you should check the fusebox connector where the fuse plugs in.the little plug contacts in the box can get corroded and sometimes it even weakens th spiring clap action of those little contacts in the fuse plug. clean em and spray em wit wd-40 or better blaster PB.

nice ill look there, i think its in the key position though, cause if it doesnt work i just turn the key a little bit and it works again, but it cant hurt to clean rust off

^^Could be key related....When the key is in the ON position...12V leaves the key as a blue/red wire and splits into two black/red wires that supplies bothe the wiper and blower fuses....if the systems work with a wiggle of the key....seems like the key switch or something close to the key assembly.

I had that problem with my wipers. Checked everythng I could think of. Took the wiper motor off and apart. Not the problem. Now my baldes are askew. It's the ignition key. Just squirt some oil or WD-40 into he keyhole. Worked for me.

If I remember correctly, the actual ignition switch is a sealed plastic unit behind the keyhole so squirting lubricant into the keyhole does not lubricate the switch. I recomment taking the ignition switch apart and cleaning things up where the problem lives. I also recommend silicone spray lube and not wd40 or other oil based lubes. Good luck!
