  • Broke a wheel stud

I clipped a "Bott's Dot" hard the other night, de-beading my left front tire. I guess it had enough force to bend the stud bolt, and when taking it off, it snapped in the hub.

Anyone have one lying around they don't want or need?
Like someone who upgraded to the Aspire brakes?

      Woops, I meant the hub.

If it's anything like the BF323, the hub is bolted to the rotor from behind the rotor. So to pull one from the junkyard, unless you have a press, you have to buy a spindle/knuckle, hub, and rotor, just to get the hub...

How soon do you need the hub? I'll be doing the Aspire swap hopefully this weekend.

Do you need it to have good bearings?

Slide hammer works fine at the junk yard, you don't need a press to pull a hub...

Here is a whole driver's side brake/hub assembly on Ebay. The Pass. side is on there too.

um, sorry for the dumb question, but why not remove the broken off lug bolt? a reverse drill bit, some PB, and some heat, i'm sure you can get it out.

I think the bolt was way too bent to try and back it on out. And I think it ever so slightly bent the bolt's threads next to it. So I just want to start over with all square pieces.
