  • Stiff gas pedal

Just wondering how stiff everyones gas pedal is? Mine is quite stiff, which I don't mind..but I've noticed driving all my friend's cars that the gas pedal is quite soft and easy to push. I kinda like it stiff since I can adjust the gas more easily with little movements, but I was just wondering if it's supposed to be this way or not. And if not, what could be causing it.

    Thanks

All 4 of my Festiva's move smoothly and easily. Might need to lube the cable.

mine is kind of stiff to. ill try and lube the cable and see what happens. has anyone ever had the pedal stick at zero and then when you step on the gas the it goes "click" and jumps up to half, cause you have to push on the pedal harder than normal.

Yep, mine does that, on mine, the throttle cable has actually stretched, so occasionaly it gets stuck at the throttle body.....

How would I go about doing these things? I lent my Hayne's manual out and don't have it back yet.
