KYB GR2 Struts vs. MONROE Struts

I will be purchasing all 4 struts for my car soon and have researched KYB and Monroe struts. The KYB GR2 struts are more expensive.

I have noticed that a whole lot of members from this community prefer the KYB GR2 struts.

Is there really an advantage to the KYB GR2 struts.

I stock only KYB at my store. I've been selling them for maybe 3 - 4 years now and only have seen 1 pair come back defective. They are a good product. People are monroe struck in america, maybe 1 in 10 customers who walk in to my store know KYB. Even some of my garage accounts don't know of them. The price point is higher then monroe but I feel it is worth it. They are no koni/bilstein mind you but for the price they offer a good ride with decent performance... Ahh and the sales pitch we got thrown when the KYB guy showed up...

Booo! Bad sales pitch, bad...

I tried that once on a customer who asked me "what da hell is a kyb", I didn't make the sale..."

monroe struts are stock valving, kyb GR2's are 15% stiffer (at least this is what i have gathered). that + what mechanicaldj said is why i opted for KYB's.
