2nd set of questions!

OK guys, you gurus helped me out the last time so I have come again to pick your brains! I have a 93 L 5spd car and I am having serious water problems. My spare tire tub keeps filling up with water along with the passenger side rear floor board. I can "see" no water trails or have seen it it leaking during the monsoon. Do these liittle cars have a problem area that I haven't found?

I have been considering installing the factory guages with tach(if I can find one). Will it plug and play or is it more involved? Same applies to intermitten wiper switch.

Factory tach and intermittent wipers, yes they are plug and play. As for the rear tire well, it could be the rear taillight gaskets are bad. You can use a mouse pad to cut out some new ones. I am unsure about the passenger floor getting wet.

I recently found some water in the spare tire well....I pulled the rubber plugs and put them back in with some RTV....haven't check it out since...thanks for reminding me.

Check the rear side window rubber seals ,and make sure the windows close all the way.Had the same problem with water was the window seal on the left.

x2, but for me, somehow one of the screws on the left rear window hinge had come loose, the window "seemed" to close tight, but it was not watertight, a quick pop of the cover, a lift on the window, the tightening of a screw, and viola, no more leak.......

that would most likely cause water in BOTH areas so check the window seal
I have a set of used seals if you would like or FMS sells new ones still (I belive)

try sittin in the car and sprayin some water in the car, with a little bit of food coloring in it, not a lot, u dont want to stain nething, then use a black light inside the car to c where it is, start with the window seals and then just look for some holes in the seals or just in general. sometimes just lookin for a hole will help

This may not work on an older car but when I work on new cars at a dealership and was looking for air/water leaks I would shut all windows and doors with the blower motor on full blast then spay soapy water around the window and door seals. If the car is sealed pretty good it will bubble where the pressure is escaping.
