    Hey whats the best oil to use in my car? 88 LX Carb 5 speed 91,xxx
    (GONE)88 Festiva LX 5 Speed, Factory A/C, Factory Tow Hitch, Tach.
    95k Original miles

    Peanut oil LOL. I use the one in special.

    BPT, G5M-R, BP26 Exintake swap + Fidanza cam gear, NSRT4 FMIC + 2.5" piping, HKS SSQV BOV, Exedy clutch, 3" downpipe + 2" all the way back, Aspire brake swap, KYB GR-2 & FMS coil spring , FMS EURO body kit + Carbon fiber hood, Falcon RTX 15X6½ + Toyo proxes T1R 195/45R15

          i use shell rotella, been using for several years in every thing i own. most of the time 10w 30w or plain 30w.

            I use Chevron, from the dollar store, i think its like $2.09 a qt right now. Its supposed to be decent, and its cheap. Keeping up with your oil changes is 1000x more important than the brand you use.

            i run 5w30 winter 10w30 summer.

              astro-glide causes things to heat up too fast lol

              any of the oils are fine its just a brand preference, if you flush your system you can even run synthetic. really it doesn't matter as long as you change them on regular intervals

                I don't think 30w is recommended in anything anymore, except maybe a lawnmower.

                  Too true IMHO, I believe 5w30 is recomended anymore, it is whatI have used for years, but I don't have harsh cold weather.........

                      I use 10W30 in everything except the S-10 , and it gets Castrol Syntec Full Syn 5W50

                      Never had a issue .

                              i use whatever happens to be cheapest at the time. and i change it every 3K miles. every time. hey it got me to 361K in my old car! :lol:
