  • throttle problems

i drove it on the interstate, let off the gas pedal and kept going the same speed like cruise control. turned off the key. it was sputtering so i had to drown it with gas. now everytime i start it up, its running full blast, smoking and knocking.

i think its the throttle cable and the return spring and i might have f-ed up the rings HELP!
it'll do the 1/8 in 13.7, spin tires, and make all my drunk buddies giggle.

Kind of sounds like you might already have your answer, check to see that the throttle is working properly, have someone sit in the car and pump the gas pedal, and see if it opens and closes right, engine OFF of course!
