  • clutch pedle bracket hanger bracket thing on 95 aspire

    i am getting ready to replace the fourth clutch peddle hanger thing that holds the peddles connected ti the firewall. they crack and then just don,t work anymore and i think i messed up the clutch this time, i have a 95 aspire and know i can't be the only one with this problem if anyone knows an alternative please let me know i have engine swap plans but if i have this problem i just try a different car all together. i checked the other post and didn't see anything

    Check your cable and make sure it is running smooth. If the cable is rough it can make the pedal effort greater and this can lead to the pedal mount problem you have. Also if the cable is bad it can affect the releasing of the clutch and not allow it to fully engage and wear the clutch early. Remove the cable from the pedal and tranny and see if it operates smoothly.

    Also check the shaft that goes into the tranny and activates the throw out bearing.
