please help asap cv trouble

i have tried everything and i need to get this cv out asap so i can get the new one in this is my daily driver. i yanked on the shaft and the boot came apart so now all i am left with is the shaft into the tranny i have tried everything and nothing works please i am begging

ok what you are saying is the inner cv is is the tranny and then shaft is still in the inner cv but the outer cv pulled off the shaft???
that is what happened when i went to take the cv assembly from my parts car so all i did was change the outer cv and all is well.
but if you have a new cv assembly waiting to go in you should change it all.
to do this you have to pry gently between the tranny and inner cv with a big pry bar .
you will lose oil and may need a new seal .

There is no trick to it ... just YANK on it ,, a snap ring is holding it in... they can be VERY stiff sometimes ... as noted in a previous post you will lose trans fluid ,, it is replaced through the opening for the speedo cable.. good luck.
