interchangablility of speedo cables

will the speedometer cable from festiva work with protege of same year (1991), or other way around???

what about the fact that they are different trannies?

What about the two different trannies, and the different intrument cluster, I haven't pulled the protege one out yet, so I dont know really

I'm not sure about the transmissions, but in my experiences with the instrument clusters they all have the same connector in the back.
