  • low idle speeds when hot

I am an owner of an aspire 4-door but over here we call them KIA
Avella even thought my body is Ford certified and my engine isn't KIA
either, my model is 1999 1.32 liter manual-TX.
Was wondering if you could help me, lately when its hot (over here hot
means over 35 Deg Cel in the shade) I'm experiencing very low idle
speed (with and without a/c on) and when I use the a/c and hold the
clutch for a long time the engine stalls. I just gave her a full
service, changed oil/air/fuel filters put in new oil and sparkplugs,
dot3, ATM oil for PwrSter ect.... bit still the problem persists, I'm
reluctant to have her serviced by KIA!
I was thinking I might have some problems with the 'evap' , as
when the car is idle the air intake flap is closed and the only source
of air is through the 'evap' solenoid valve, (also is the solenoid
valve suppose to open when the engine is on or when there is the right
pressure in the fuel tank?) think that the mixtures ends up to be too
rich in fuel (black stans on my silencer crome) and the engine stalls.
    Any help?
    Big Thanks for your time!!

    stalling

last week my festiva had a stalling problem i found out that i had a vacume leak and reconnected the hose but still had a problem. then i remembered from reading from the forum about clearing the computer by disconnecting the positive cable from the battery. after i did this and drove it a while the problem went away.
