  • Clutch buying tips

I'm needing a clutch for a Aspire. Locally I can get duralast (autozone), perfection clutch (advanced auto) or exedy online shipping is $12. All are between $70-$80. It seems the norm is 170k on the stock clutches so I'd like to get one to last at least 150k. Buying suggestions anyone?

DO NOT GET THE AUTOZONE CLUTCH! its such a peice of shit...it won't last you longer than 60k miles.

Get the exedy, its overengineered and is OE equipment on all mazda cars. the one i had in my festiva lasted over 230k miles before we replaced it with an autozone clutch, and the autozone is slipping already! I probably would've been better off keeping the 230k old stock daikin (maker of exedy) clutch.

The clutch on my festy was replaced at 30k miles, got a receipt showing it got an exedy put in. Now the car has 194k miles and the b6 can't make it slip.
