Joe, how do you like your Vista?

I'm attracted to the mini-minivan concept and the later model Vistas also remind me somewhat of a "guppy-fied" Festiva.

if i recalled the aspire head is an improvement over the festiva head design look in past posts on this subject.

^^^ Most of the improvement comes in the rockers. I believe the stripped head is virtually the same.

I put a low mileage 95 Aspire motor in my brother's 93 Festiva after his cam siezed in the head. I swapped the intake, exhaust, distributor, and the valve cover off the Festy motor. Runs great, in fact it has more balls than the old Festy motor before it died.

^ Did you have to change out the drive pulley ? And if so did it match up with the festiva pulley ? The motor is being delivered to my place on wednesday the 14th.

The Festiva pulley is a direct changeover. We put an Aspire engine I had in Tweety (91 L ATX) last year. The car runs away from anything going down the Interstate. Nice swap!....For stock at least.

BTW, I have another Festiva engine upstairs that has hydraulic lifters, and was a later stock engine. Any differences in HP between it and Aspire engines documented? Always wondered after the results of that swap...

Ill be using the festiva intake. Been getting swap parts all organized today. Wish I had something to put it in. Im just going to have to buy a festiva with a bad motor. Thats all I can do at this point.
