Found a couple halfshafts to use as core charges. On one of them the clamps are mint. Are those reuseable and if so, what kind of pliers are used on them? Obviously anything would work for gettting them off, but I was wondering what you guys would use to get them tightened back on?

Some of the clamps are reusable but most are not. There are many different styles, so if you could give us a picture of yours, we might be able to help. You can buy new clamps at most auto parts stores. Some require a special cv clamp tool, while other just need a screw driver and a pair of pliers. The Festiva Store

They make a special set of pliers for crimping them...they look like end cutting pliers..or...nibblers...or...nail pulling pliers. Only, the have a blunt edge. I've used end cutters for years...being careful not to cut the band.
In emergencies...I've used a good quality cable tie...the last for years.Joe Lutz
