Redford (1990 L, five speed , EFI ) has developed an idle problem recently. I just did a tune up ( plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter) hoping that would fix it. But it didnt. The car runs perfect its just an idle problem. Its not a big problem except in stop and go traffic. I have to put it in neutral and keep one foot on the brake and one on the gas pedal at stop lights. It will idle fine for 10-15 seconds (900rpm) then suddenly falls off to 200rpm. It wont die but just barely stays running. The idle air screw is one full turn out just like all my other cars. I just added some Lucas fuel injection cleaner but havent ran it since. I thought the problem might be a vaccum leak. It has a cruise control vaccum line coming off the vaccum line from the brake booster to the plenum(sp?) but I removed that and it didnt help. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have an extra ISC-BPA I was thinking about trying.
