  • Heater issue

When I'm running my heater it only come out warm through the defrost and floor vents. When I switch it to panel it blows out cool air. Is there a fix for this or is that normal?

Does the same thing for me, that's why I always keep it on defrost to get heat...

Totally normal , you will never get any heat from your dash vent .

Festiva's will only blow warm air from defrost , and floor .
That is how they were designed .

Really? I've had heat come out of my front vents before my heater core went. Now it just does as he describes. Only heat from defrost...anything else and it's just cold air.

Does it smell like Maple Syrup when you turn your heat on?

Haha NO! I bet it's hard to pass an IHOP in the winter with a problem like that.

That may be an anti freeze leak. It smells sweet like syrup.

I have always stuffed two rectangles of foam into the vents in the winter. Just remove the two screws below the cover plate, pull, stuff, don't forget you did it come summer. Your A/C really suffers otherwise!
