cant get transmission fluid to go in

When I try to put the transmission fluid in my manual transmission it wont go in it just spills out, what am i doing wrong

look in the hole as best as possible and see if it is pluged.... it is either 2 full or pluged. u are puting it where the speedo gear sits right. and obviously with it removed...
