  • Fuel sock

So i had an interesting night last night, i was turning around in somones driveway, and backing out onto the proper side of the wasn't wise because of the BIGG turn that u can't see around, so i backed out on the wrong side where i could see for a good long distance. As i put it in first and started to let the clutch out and give it gas it just died, and my battery is frigged. so i got a jump and when i tried getting going again, 3k rpms and that car wouldn't move. i had to get it moved so i put it alot higher and it got going for a sec, then it was put put put going about 5kmh. it ran a little better after i got off the hill and so i took it and parked it.

I know my fuel filter is shot, but i need to get whatever is in my gas tank out before i put a new one on. Can you clean a fuel sock rather than replacing it? and what would be the best way to get that gas out of my gas tank.. besides burning it.
    Thanks fellas
    Sean

Uh, my prefered method is to use the drain bolt on the tank!
But that might just be me!
No, the socks are not cleanable just replace.
Of course,if your tanks has rust or the gas has gelled on you, a new sock will clog pretty quickly unless you flush the crud out!
