Look at the pic of the oil pan in my guide. It looks like one of the long bolts was left out. This isn't my pic but one I stole off a b6t swap guide (same type pan).

If you don't figure this out by tomorrow evening I'll go out and take a pic of my BP pan if possible.

Matt, here's a pic I took from your guide; I added in red the differences of my pan versus yours. There is a big rib with what seems like an oil pan bolt going through, and according to my measurements, I'll need to trim this rib, and also remove or cut this bolt to make room for the axle. Here's what I mean:

I'll take pictures tomorrow after I remove my clutch and flywheel to show what I mean, but from what I've seen, it really looks different from your pan...Am I mistaken, or was there different oil pans? I know from other posts that there can be some differences on BP engines (like keyed cranks, for example), but oil pans???

Here's how close mine is. I removed the band clamp and replaced it with a wire. The boot actually touches the bolt head.

Glad I took these pics, I found a loose coolant line while I was under there.

Thanks for the pics Matt!!! Like I thought, I really have a diferent oil pan, but it helped! I trimmed a little more, and with everybody's advices combined, I got it in!!! My BP is finally gonna have a good night's sleep firmly bolted in my engine compartement! It should pretty much be easy sailing from now on! Thanks everybody!
