The headlights stated turning themselves on intermittently and then now they wont work at all. I was just wondering which way to go on this one.....

May sound obvious. But first thing to do is check your fuses. ALL OF THEM. good place to start anyway.Of course the red makes it go faster.. -
Try playing with the switch to see if anything unexpected happens. It could use cleaning. I'd spray WD-40 in there but when I suggested that in repsonse to an earlier question about the same thing somebody questioned it and recommended something else.Original owner of silver grey carburetted 1989 Festiva. 105k km as of June 2006. 140k km as of June 2021.Comment

well i havent tried th wd 40 yet but i have tried testing the switch and i was going to test the wires off of the switch but i didnt know which ones needed to have power and which ones didnt need power at which times HOw do i clean the switch??Comment

May need a new dimmer switch for it
I had some problems outta mine a while back they would ONLY work on bright & not on dim....replaced the whole switch & they work find now:p
