  • Help!- CV boot retaining bands

I bought some CV boots from FMS. They went on great but the outer band on the outer joint is too small! No way will it fit over. They were in separate bags, w/boot bands and grease, and I opened them as I did each one so they weren't mixed up. Now what can I do? I need my car! I plan to call, but I gots to go! Can I use a large zip tie? I have some large heavy duty ones.

yes you could use a zip tie as a temporary fix.

But I would definately plan on getting the right steel bands sooner than later.
