Back of the block
Between the oil filter and the front of the block (oil pump)
Same elevation up the block from the oil pan as the oil filter.
There is a raised portion on the block that is the oil passage from the pump.Joe Lutz

Joe has it pinned. It is a devil to get at or to even see, which is likely why you have not found it.Thricetiva replaced Icetiva as the new ride

Lay under the car... Find the oil filter... Next to it, there should be a bracket that bolts from the block to the intake manifold... The oil pressure plug is behind that bracket (lovely location... right?) (EDIT - at least... that's the way my BP is... that's the way my B6 was... And I'm pretty sure the B3 has it too)
You don't need the original, and there's probably not room for a t-fitting with that bracket back there... I've been running an Autometer oil pressure guage since getting Casper, had the stock wire disconnected and it doesn't through off the gauge cluster.Simon - pimptiva.com

ok i found some time to find the sensor and got a "t" for it and put the sensor and gauge on it. i started it up and the gauge says it at about 5 psi at idle and regular driving it goes up to about 30 psi and going up to about 5000 rpm then it will go up about 45 psi, is that normal press. for this motor? from what i know it should be close to 60 psi, is that right?

Your pressure should be higher at idle. A rough minimum figure is 10 psi of oil pressure for every 1000 rpms. I have a rebuilt motor with a new oil pump that is pushing 50 psi at idle as registered with a mechanical pressure gauge. If you are using an electric pressure gauge, it's possible it isn't accurate. Otherwise it's probably your oil pump or bearings or a combination of both that are worn that you're losing pressure. Using extremely light weight oil in very hot weather will give you low readings, too.You gonna race that thing?

ok i dont think its going to last much longer... it now says 0 psi at idle when its hot... i NEED a new motor, NOW!!!
