well, I know i've been posting random threads for a few days but I'm tring to solve a problem I'm having, but I think I have it cornered. I think my rack is going, so I wnet on the FMS website and se rebuilt racks for 175 (plus core 75), it comes with boots and rods which is sweet, but does anyone have any eeperience with them? I'm away in the middle east right and my girlfriend is gonna order it with my credit card, but before I start giving my information out to a stranger, I was wondering if anyone else delt with him yet and if the parts are any good and worth the money. If it all check out, I'll order them now and they should be there when I finish my tour over here
thanks guys, this forum makes it easy to keep the ol girl running, even half a world away and with a chick driving it at home that has limited technical experience

first of all, they do not have any fresh rebuilds in stock

you will need to send your old one to them to see if it can be rebuilt.

just talked to them last week

I called Advance and the don't have them anymore. I am desperately looking for a steering rack for manual steer. Anyone know where I can get one?

The advance site says it ships in 3 days, although I don't know how up-to-date they are. Pricey.

They don't have them either. I found a place called Steer and Gear that has them for $216 and $40 core.

I found a 92 L manual steer and he wants $75. He has most of the car there and said he will take $400 for the whole thing. I may just do that.
