I'm planning is on getting remanufactured axles and popping them in this summer. While I have the car semi apart, what else would be smart to replace. Things that are known to fail.....
My festy is a 89 auto with 110,000 miles on her...

hmm. suspension? tie rod ends, control arms/balljoint, bushings. thats the stuff i changed and noticed a difference.

Definite must....the output seals for the axles at the transmission.

Sway bar bushings.....You will know if they need replacing by simple visual inspection....any signs of dry rot or cracking....readily available at any parts store.

How many miles? Have the front wheel bearings ever been changed? I would say not uncommon maintenance for cars between 100-150K
