  • STO terminal location

Man I'm sorry for the post but I can't see the STO terminal on my 92 so I can jump it and pull the codes on the dash. Any ideas? I guess I mean where is the test connector located?

Remember "I" before "E", except as in Budweiser.

Look at the windshield washer motor gear box....there are 4 nuts holding it to the fire wall....in between and in front of the lower two nuts are several unused electrical conectors....the test connector is in that bunch.

Peel back some tape on one of the single connectors....the test connector wire is yellow with a black trace....FROM MEMORY...PLEASE...SOMEONE DOUBLE CHECK ME

I guess another question that arises is, what OBD scanner do I buy for it? The one for Fords? Kias? Anyone have a make/model of a scanner they like?

        Festers are not OBD compliant!
So OBD scanner will not be of any value!

          Here's the scan results:

I turn the key, solid light for about 3 seconds. Then 8 consecutive flashes. Then pause, longer flash. Pause again, longer flash again. The 5 rapid flashes, pause, 8 flashes, pause. longer flash, pause, longer flash, pause, 5 flashes, pause, seems to be repeating the codes now.

Any diag help? I take that to read as codes 15 and 8. Seems to be maybe Air Flow Sensor and Oxygen Sensor codes, am I right?

Does that pattern and my conclusion seem to make sense? How do I diagnose the air flow circuit?

I don't have a book in front of me to confirm the codes nor the VAF test procedure.
Anyway....when ever I pull a code out of the ECU...I disconnect the battery to reset the code...and then wait for it to come back before I start droping $$$'s.

It didn't have a battery in it for over a year so I don't know if they were previously stored or not. Clearing them again is a fine idea so I'll take that action. I read up a lot on this last night and I have some good info to go on. Thanks for the answers.
