Headlight problems

On one of my festivas, The headlights go off when you push the signal arm down, but if you pull up on it for a temporary bright light, its works. Any body got any ideals before I tear it down? Thanks

Did you try hosing it down with electrical cleaner? Maybe dirty contacts.

Also...the connector to the switch assembly may be loose. And, their is a headlamp relay that may be on its way out.
