Bought a carb kit today. It didn't come with a float. Discount guy said go to NAPA. NAPA guy said "no Float". Came home and checked on line, no float. My carb is flooding and the sight glass shows no level. I think float is saturated and float chamber is full. Question: Where do I get a float?

I think they are impossible to find. I tried. I eventually found a carb in the junk yard. Does the float feel heavy? Will it float in a bowl of gas? Could just be whacked out needle and seat. It took me alot of trial and error, but I finally got it right. Good luck!

Thought mine was bad, but it floated fine. Turned out to be a number of things, but after rebuilding the carb and some trial and error on the float level it worked out well. Test the float before sweating the part availability.Originally posted by 25Horseplay View PostTest float it outside th carb in something.Brent

The float turned out to be the least of my worries. Inside the carb was easy. My trouble began while reconnecting the linkage. Of course, I haven't got it back in yet. It may never run again.lol88 Festiva 5 speed
