Festiva 1.3L head Bolts

I'm in the process of re-building my engine and I'm in the tear down phase.

I have most of the engine stripped but my 13mm 6 point deep well impact socket has slipped on 2 of the head bolts.

Am I using the right socket or is there a special socket for these?

I thought those were 12mm...

No, their 13mm.

I was told to use a 12 point socket and it worked on most but I had to beat a standard socket on to 3 to get them out.

I guess I'll have to buy a new set of head bolts

buy a better socket? what brand are you using. I've found Craftsman split and distort easily. I use SK or Mac. And new head bolts are actually a great idea anyway...
