Just bought a 1990 Festl L Plus.213k on speedo.No rust,auto,a/c,starts and runs.It is at a mechanics shop and he said it needs a distributor.It works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't,but,that is all that seems to be wrong with it.It is 4 hrs away and I am going with someone to pick it up.My question is , should I go get a used distributor and take it with me just in case or ?? It does have a lot of miles on it,but,for the most part it looks decent.Anything can go wrong,but,just need info on what I hould do about the distributor .Thanks.

Never hurts to have a backup!
I'd bring the extra distributor, but how sure are you that it is the problem?
humm, 4 hours away from Warren, OH might be nearer me!
Anyway best thing you could do you have already done, let the board know your trying to get a Festiva back home.
With more detail you might have a few people along your return path that could be around to help.

How funny.!!!!! That is the one I bought !.I am staying at the Best Western in berkeley springs.We are building the Allegheny Power sub station there and I saw it for 3 weeks with a tag.One day , no tag , so, I asked,made an offer and got it.Comment
