I have Kia Pride B3 1.3 SOHC engine (carburetor) and i just want to know if you guys know the default timing setting(degrees) of this engine? and also what's the the acceptable setting if i set it to advance?

I think I saw on one of the Yahoo Festiva groups that stock timing is 5 degrees BTDC. I recall reading on here that 8 degrees BTDC is a good place to set it.Comment

Of course, this is for engines in the US and Canada. Engines in Europe, Japan or other countries probably run with more timing than North American engines, I believe the reason for this is that these other countries aren't as strict on emissions and as us in NA are.Comment
