Finally got my front axles in. Ready to start tightening everything up. Just have one question...
Does anybody know how much torque to put on the front axle nut before staking it?
I did a search for this and couldn't find any specific information. Found some tips and such on replacing the rear ones but not the front.
The shop manual isn't particularly helpful, saying 116 to 174 foot pounds. That's a pretty broad range and I'd think one would need to be more exact with this particular nut?
Any tips or suggestions on getting it to the proper torque?
