  • Question on Outer Tie rod ends

How are these things threaded? I don't want to be wrenching hard and be going the wrong way, ha. So, on the drivers side, which way do I need to turn the nut and tie rod end to loosen it? Thanks!

jeez i just did these.....i want to say regular thread.
    there's no reason to do left hand.....but i can't say it 100%

I do believe the answer to your question is left (lefty loosy, righty tighty)

when i say regular i mean lefty loosey. left hand would be reverse thread.
        sorry if there's confusion.

Both sides are standard thread direction.

So, since the nut thats up against the tie rod end needs to go towards the steering rack, I need to go clockwise so it will go away from the tie rod end towards the rack right?

Yup, thats what my money went into before the Festiva, ha. Its a stock block, edelbrock aluminum heads, cam, intake, bbk longtubes, x-pipe, dynomax bullet mufflers, built rear end, tremec tko tranny and the list goes on, ha. Fun to drive, but sucks on gas.

Oh, and a note on the festiva, every front end part, including struts and everything, I have laying on the floor in the garage. Took me and hour and a half, ha
