  • NEED: Fuel injector harness id

    Hey guys and girls,

Does anyone have a diagram for the FUEL INJECTOR HARNESS? I need to id the wires comming out of where the FI harness plugs into the engine harness? The 8 pin connector (only 7 wires come out of it).

    PLEASE HELP!

Is this for running your megasquirt?

Someone may actually have a diagram on here, but the easiest thing to do will be to peak under the boot by each injector and see the wire color, write it down, and then check by the plug. I seem to recall the MS uses bank firing of the injectors, so in that case cutting the plugs off with a 2" lead or so and making your own harness may be easier.

That is what I am doing skeeter. I have a diyautotune harness I need to wire all the plugs onto. I didn't even think of looking at the injectors wiring. I just left my dads house too....doh. I have a few more wiring issues to figure out as well.

The plug that plugs in right next to the thermastate, is that the coolant sensor? What is the green square plug that plugs into the block about 3 inches behind the thermastate? Anyone?

Here is a picture of the green plug, best shot I could get:

I just found a schematic for the fuel injectors looks like Grn/Yel is Inj #1 and Inj #3, Grn/Blk is Inj #2 and Inj #4, but that still leaves 5 more wires on the plug? The two Yel/Blk wires on the chart come out of all 4 injectors, is this the ground? That leaves a Yellow, Red/Blue, and a black which I am guessing is a ground?

Post your Festiva or Aspire repair and maintenance issues. - USE THIS FORUM FOR ANY TECHNICAL RELATED POST (IE. How do I change my oil?, How to remove axle from tranny?, etc)

should answer your question. the CTS you need for MSquirt should be in the intake mani, that one is probably for either the gauge or fan; i think its gauge.

as far as the injectors... i'm not sure! The CTS harness on the B3/B6 is part of the injector wiring harness (its a 5th plug and goes to the CTS in the intake mani), so that might take care of two of the extra wires, but thats about all I can think of.
