  • how-to remove ignition cylinder, its stuck on column

    do i heat it with a torch and it slips off...what is the deal with this thing
    it's very weak metal it bends easy. i dont want to make it so ugly chipping at it

    I used a Dremel and cut slots in the screws that hold it together. Once I did that it unscrewed real easy.

        oh mine looks like its riveted on, and there is nothing in the bottom of it, no bolts or anything

        edit i see what you mean. its threaded inside i take it not really riveted. anyway once it comes off a whole lockset is gonna be for sale.
