  • Inside manual tranny pics

Anyone have any in their photobucket? I took my BP to work yesterday to de-grease it and power wash it with hot water. I have it looking brand spankin' new so i decided to do a compression and leakdown test with the snap on tester we have at work. Tranny connected and starter mated to my spec stage 2 clutch and lightened flywheel i give her a few cranks with a little oil squirts in the cylinders. Let it set a little while and did my tests. On the upside i hit 160 (1), 150 (2), 150 (3), 160 (4). Downside my tranny was in gear and i did NOT have any dowel in the inputs. Spider gears fell out of place. I've never taken a festiva trans apart and I'm thinking about doing the phantom LSD. With that being said I'd like to see someones trans without the gears out of place.

By the way Andy if you read this I have received your throw-out bearing you gave me!

Pics up tomorrow with the dis-assembly, because I think I'm gonna do a write-up on it and have someone sticky it.

I've got some pics I can upload as well if you need something more specific, pulling the trany apart is pretty easy. I did two in one morning, both ended up having chewed up diff gears... so their still apart in the garage.

Yeah that 5th gear swap had really good pictures of the assembly. Hope you get it back together.
