Control Arm Bushing

I replaced the CV axle yesterday and noticed the bushings on the lower ball joints are shot. Is it possible to just replace the bushings? I'd really rather not buy new control arms just because the bushings are bad.

Yes you can purchase just the bushings at an auto parts store. I think I paid around $15 for them a while back.

Are these all that difficult to do? Any trick to them? I was just going to pop out the old bushing, grease the joint and put in the new bushing. Is it that simple?

yup! as long as you are careful with the ball joint.
