brake light

I have a 92 festy that has a brake light that wont go off.Parking brake was locked up but is now freed up but light is still on.Checked switch and seems to check fine.Any help apprec.

if this bulb is on the rear of the car(tail lights) check the bulb , it should be a 1157 or 2057 dual filament bulb.


and make sure the bulb is inserted the right way in the socket( there is two ways to insert the bulb, first way is to insert the bulb with gentle pressure and a slight twist to lock it in place and the other way takes a lot of force with a twist)


or if this is the red brake light on the dash, check the brake fluid level sensor on the reservoir of the master cylinder.
