battery cable question

The battery cable coming from the positive side on a 1989 festiva, is that only a battery cable or is there other things in with that, reason being my burnt because the ignition starter switch went bad, finally found the switch and that is installed now need to replace wires...any help would be great

if i recalled there are other wires on my 1993.

it looks like other wires are in there, i wonder if i replace the battery cable can other wires be fixed
