02 sensor off of a escort gt?

im trying to get my 1990 festiva through aircare and im flat broke.... so i have no money for a new one. but i do have a new one for a 1993 for escort gt. will it fit in my festiva? will it have the same plug and give the same reading to the computer? i think it will work, but i i just want to make sure. thanks

I used the sensor off of a '87 Mazda 323. My Festiva passed emissions with flying colors and I got about 44 mpg.

I'd guess that the Escort sensor would work, but don't quote me on it.

Well, the BP swap guide says you can use the Festiva's O2 sensor on the BP, so I guess the opposite is possible...
