Fuel Tank

Does anyone know a good source for a used or new fuel tank and fuel pump?
Found 1 used 1 in my area, Manheim, PA but it is almost as bad as the one I have. The corner closest to the left rear tire is rotted away.

I recently bought a tank from discountgastanks.com and had great service at a good price for a new tank. They show a FI tank for 125.00 without a 5.00 discount for ordering online. IIRC, shipping was 15.00 or so.

ive read on here that the 2 door aspire tank is the same piece. with a newer car you might have some luck in the local yards.

Well started to put the new tank in today. Also got a new fuel pump to put in - well the strainer on the pump is the wrong one, wouldn't fit. So i decided to clean the rust of the underneath where the tank goes. Used a wire wheel underneath on my diegrinder - what a messy job!!! Anyway I sprayed some primer, then some rustoleum (sp) then painted un some rubberized undercoating. Then the thunderstorm came so had to come in side. What i was wondering if as a collective the group had any real good ways of cleaning up rust and protecting against rust. My plan is to make this car a daily driver year road and have it last forever or close to it..

third tank

I had a leak in my 89 tank and got a new replacement.
I sealed the outside in high build black urethane before installing it.
I only drove it for about 5 months.
Then, I bought a 93 and didn't want a FI setup. So I just dropped the perfectly good tank and donated it to a tank reconditioning factory.
After swapping in my 89 tank, I found that I needed an electric fuel pump after all because there was interference between the dual carb and the new OEM pump.

Now I have 2 new mechanical pumps and one completely rust free tank which I will be getting rid of in the spring. I bought a replacement 93 tank from California on the bay which I have to swap in again. Live and learn.

I forgot to mention that most gas tanks rust out at the seam. That is because they turn the edges of the seam upward to trap water, salt and dirt (on purpose). This is the main area to seal.
