  • New headgasket installed :-)

Well I took a sick day from work today and fixed my yellow festiva.

Replaced the radiator completely tore down the engine and rebuilt everything in 8 hours about. Felt really good to get something actually done on the car when I planned on it. Usually something always happens and causes problems.

The only issue I have now is the car starts but stalls, i believe my timing is off by one or two teeth. I will have to finish that tomorrow.

The first time I did it took two or three days off and on because stuff was stuck, or I couldn't figure out how to get to the bolts. I just had done it back in may so everything came off easily :-)

I think I could have done it in 5 hours if I would have removed the starter, and not had to change out the radiator. Plus the time included lunch breaks, and warm up brakes, the darn garage doesn't have insulation yet, I had a kerosene heater going all day right next to the car, the fumes started getting too me :-P
