  • Where's the fuel pump relay?

I just bought my festiva on saturday and today while I was out enjoying it it would start after running most of the morning.

I checked the spark and it is plenty strong, I suspect that there is no fuel pressure as the feed line feels "limp" when I'm cranking it over.

I couldnt find a fuse for the fuel pump under the dash. Is there a relay? Where is it located? Thanks!

You have a fuel pump shut off swith. Drivers side in the back of the hatch, under the speaker. You can try that button.

The relay should be behind the drivers side speaker under the dash.

Do you actually have gas? don't go buy the fuel gauge, it could be wrong. Put some in it.

      Hope this helps.

Uner the access panel for the rear lights? I looked all over and could not find the switch.

But it decided to start running anyway. Hope it doesnt happen again!

I don't wanna steal this tread but what is the fuel pump shut off switches main function? Roll over protection? Or does it work like a breaker in case of a short in the fuel pump? Or something else? Also where can you but relays and switches if you need them? Thanks

I got a fuel pump relay at NAPA for considerably less than what the other places were asking.

drof, yes its for crash protection, but they have been known to trip accidentally once in a while, thats why I said try it.

Drivers side of the car, in the back. Open the hatch, below the speaker, if you still have your rear interior plastics in all you will find is a very small hole just big enough to put one finger in, thats the switch in there. It is easy to miss though.

Insert finger and push. Can you imagine how many people have had the royal appendage inserted just for this popped switch! Is this switch mentioned in the owners manual? Thanks
