    Hi guys im dirk from the philippines and im glad that i discover this forum because i bought a second hand kia pride lx sedan and i am wondering if you guys can give me some advise on my problem, when starting my engine cold. it takes a very long cranking of the engine before it would start approx. 7-10 seconds before it will start. hope you guys can give me an advise before i bring it to a mechanic just to have an idea. thanks a lot.

        thanks for the reply, my pride is a carb type, i have read somewhere in this forum that you need to pump the accelerator 4 times then step on the accelerator halfway down to start the engine, well i tried it and for a short crank, the engine started. what may be the problem so that i dont have to start the engine with that procedure, by the way my pride is a 1995 kia pride sedan,thanks!
