Engine swap??? 1989 and a 1992 1.3L engines

Im thinking about getting a junk yard engine for my 92 festiva its fuel injected and the only engine i can find is a 1989 carb fed engine its the same 1.3L but i was wondering if i coul take the fuel injection system off of my engine and fit it onto the other i have the overheating problem in the other thread and im tired of messing with this engine Thanks

Idk why no one replied but im pretty sure there is many threads about this, just serach it up. I'm still a noob and dont really have the answer.

Yes, you should be able to swap FI components for the carb stuff, including the cover plate for the hole where the mechanical fuel pump went.

Just be sure to document all parts and where they go. I'd take lots of pictures or have another FI Festiva to refer to.
