I've been working on my brother's 93 gl for a couple weeks now.. It seems to have rough idle issue..and a miss...It's 1.3L man. I've replaced the dist..maf..fuel pump and reg.. It runs better but no power..above 45mph...and it seems to lose more the warmer it gets..I'm thinking it could be the cat plugging up..or the timing belt jumped...I really could use some suggestions..or better insight...

get a timing light and check the timing...will tell you if it is a belt or disty problem. Separate the exhaust at the cat and try it out....see if there is a differance...or remove the O2 sensor to relieve the pressure."FLTG4LIFE" @FINALLEVEL , "PBH"

A vaccum guage will diagnose a clogged exhaust. Look at the " sticky" at the top of the forum.Last edited by mechanicaldj; 12-16-2008, 09:43 AM.Original owner of silver grey carburetted 1989 Festiva. 105k km as of June 2006. 140k km as of June 2021.
